Rabb Di Awaaz has been directed by the National Award-winning film director Ojaswwee Sharma, who received the Rajat Kamal National Award at the 68th National Film Awards for “Admitted.”
Filmed entirely in the landscape of the Chandigarh and Tricity Region, Rabb Di Awaaz is a step by the makers to highlight inclusive and empathetic storytelling through the medium of cinema. The film debuts Shiv Kumar Sharma, a legal and disability activist who is visually impaired along with Abhinav Sharma, and many well-known people and actors from the Tricity region, who bring genuineness and authenticity to the film which has been received with aplomb throughout.
Rabb Di Awaaz is available to be seen with Hindi and English subtitles, as well as to be experienced with Hindi Audio Description for the visually impaired and Indian Sign Language for the hearing impaired.
The film is the recipient of the Best Film 2024 award by the Media Federation of India and the Public Relations Council of India for achieving excellence in being India’s first multi-inclusive film. The award was given by Acharya Devvrat, Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat, India. Rabb Di Awaaz has also been awarded the Best Film on Disability 2024this year at the World Film Festival Cannes Online Edition.
