Chandigarh Life Magazine Honors Creators of India’s First Multi-Inclusive Hindi Film

The Chandigarh Life Magazine, Chandigarh’s leading infotainment and lifestyle media, celebrated the successful completion of its first trimester since the magazine’s launch. As part of the magazine’s launch meeting and recognition of featured stories, the magazine honored the creators of “Rabb Di Awaaz,” India’s first multi-inclusive Hindi feature film. The film has garnered acclaim for its groundbreaking approach in the cinema landscape of India and has been filmed in the Chandigarh-Tricity Region.

 

Ojaswwee Sharma and Team Receive Accolades for “Rabb Di Awaaz”

The magazine bestowed honors upon National Award-winning director Shri Ojaswwee Sharma, the director of “Rabb Di Awaaz.” Lead actor Abhinav Sharma, who plays RJ Karan, and senior broadcaster and actor Shri Sarvpriya Nirmohi, whose narration enriched the Hindi audio description for visually impaired audiences, were also recognized. Sandeep Kumar, the film’s cinematographer, also received the recognition on behalf of senior cinematographer Soneswar Deka.

Chandigarh Life Magazine Features Special Stories on Award-Winning Films

The second edition of Chandigarh Life Magazine, published in June 2024, featured special stories on “Rabb Di Awaaz” and the National Award-winning film “Admitted.” Film director Ojaswwee Sharma accepted the recognition on behalf of Shiv Kumar Sharma, the film’s leading actor who is also a disability activist and legal counselor, film editor Bhasker Pandey, and Nitesh Sharma, the director for sign language accessibility for the hearing impaired.

 

Highlighting Inclusive Storytelling and Advocacy in Cinema

In its June 2024 edition, Chandigarh Life Magazine spotlighted the article “Echoes of Empathy,” celebrating “Rabb Di Awaaz” as a milestone in inclusive storytelling. The magazine also featured “Four Years of Admitted,” which champions transgender education and human rights in a biographical docudrama in Indian cinema. National Award-winning director Ojaswwee Sharma received recognition for both films from Shri Rahul Goyal, director and CEO of Chandigarh Life Magazine.

Comprehensive Recognition for the Cast and Crew of “Rabb Di Awaaz”

The makers of “Rabb Di Awaaz” received the honors on behalf of the entire star cast and film technicans, including, Mohit Verma, Varun Narang, Jagdeep Lamba, Abhilasha Sidana, Rita Dutt, and Snehil Sharma. The ocassion highlighted the collective effort and dedication of everyone involved in bringing this pioneering film to life.

“Rabb Di Awaaz” is India’s first multi-inclusive Hindi feature film.”Admitted” is India’s first feature biographical documentary on transgender human rights and education, which won the Special Jury Award at the 68th National Film Awards by the Government of India.
