Campaign film Commit To Quit released on World No Tobacco Day 2021

Following the motto by the World Health Organization on the occasion of International World No Tobacco Day 2021, Pinaka Mediaworks have produced a 2 minute campaign film in association with the Health Department, Haryana.

The film was launched today by Dr. Veena Singh – Director General Health Services, Haryana in Panchkula on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day 2021. Dr. Rita Kalra, Assistant Governor, Rotary District 3080 and Dr. Rita Kotwal, Deputy Director, Tobacco Control, Haryana were also present during the launch.

The campaign film, directed by Ojaswwee Sharma, featuring Kanwalpreet Singh, Varun Narang, and Siddharth Ohri focusses on inspiring citizens of the Haryana State to take a pledge to quit consumption of Tobacco.

Tobacco consumption disrupts our basic, everyday functioning. The importance of oxygen during the COVID-19 pandemic has reached unparalleled levels. The most vital function necessary for the human body is breathing, which has been compromised due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Further, indulging in smoking reduces the lung’s functionality and further consumption of tobacco products lowers the body’s immunity to fight against the virus and various forms of cancer. The film further highlights the initiatives taken by Health Department, Haryana to establish Tobacco Cessation Centres across civil hospitals in Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra and Gurugram.
