With immense humility and heartfelt gratitude, we share the occasion ofthe first anniversary of Rabb Di Awaaz, India’s first multi-inclusive Hindi feature film, which released on December 28, 2023.
In its first year, Rabb Di Awaaz completed over 200 screenings and reached millions globally through digital streaming – a journey made possible by the love and support of countless individuals.
This milestone belongs to everyone who believes in the vision ofinclusivity and equality. We extend our deepest gratitude to audiences of Indian cinema across the world, including the disability communities ofIndia, whose trust and encouragement have been invaluable in the growth of this film. We are equally thankful to the educational institutions, social groups, and thought leaders who wholeheartedly welcomed the film into their spaces, amplifying its message to diverse audiences.
Screenings across both rural and urban centres ensured that the message of inclusivity reached communities of
every kind. Through this, we sought to create a platform where cinema could unite and inspire people from all walks of life.
With free screenings and an accessible release featuring Subtitles, Closed Captions, Hindi Audio Description and Indian Sign Language, Rabb Di Awaaz became a film for everyone – transcending the barriers of accessibility, ability, age and literacy. This initiative marked our journey toward an inclusive and accessible cinema, inclusive education, and a truly inclusive and accessible Bharat.
This milestone reflects a collective will and a shared belief in the power of storytelling to unite, heal, inspire and empower. As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons, love, empathy and hope that this journey has brought into our lives.
