About The Film:

#Admitted, an Indian Feature Documentary, explores the largest case of Transgender Education in a mainstream public university of North India, the 1st public washroom for transgenders in a public university and developments for Transgender Rights, Education and acceptance to mainstream education and society within the Union Territory of Chandigarh, pre and post the historic National Legal Services Authority v. Union of India Judgement of 2014 of adding 3rd Gender to India.

The 1 hour 58 minute film narrative documentary, is the biography of Mx Dhananjay Chauhan, the 1st Transgender Student of Panjab University, Chandigarh, her life journey of transformation into a trans-woman with thrust on education along with gender identification, dilemmas and expression in personal life to strive for Education and Upliftment of the Transgender Community in India.

Admitted is directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Ojaswwee Sharma.
